Random thoughts:
Imagine asking an online person someone if he or she is a girl in real life. He could ask, "Are you a Girl In Real Life?" No wait, you always use acronyms online. "r u a Girl IRL?" No wait, that can be abbreviated even further, "r u a GIRL?" w00t, so "girl" could be a recursive acronym.
Term 1 is ending soon; I shall rest and sleep like a sleeping bag.
I don't understand why like poles repel and unlike poles attract.
Some chinese children's songs are stupid once they are translated into english. Like:
Two tigers,
two tigers,
[they] run fast,
[they] run fast.
One has no ears,
one has no tail.
So strange,
so strange.
A certain song can be completely expressed in two sentences:
A little mouse climbed up the oil lamp to eat some oil, but it couldn't climb down after that. "Meow meow meow!" The cat arrived, and the mouse tumbled down.
Actually it's pretty sad, 'cos we all know what's going to happen to the mouse after that.
I wouldn't be surprised if english children songs sound stupid when translated into chinese.
But hey, there are songs which have been successfully translated, albeit with some change in content. These include "twinkle twinkle little star" and "old macdonald had a farm".
You. You hate. You hate me.
